It is an elevated terminal station on the North–South corridor of Yellow Line 2A of the Mumbai Metro, which was inaugurated on 19 January 2023. The original name of the station was Valnai. Due to public demand, MMRDA changed the name of the station to Valnai - Meeth Chowki on 10 April 2023.
